1/4 c Chopped walnuts 1 c Apple juice
1 tb Margarine or butter 1 c Water
1 md Onion, chopped 1/4 t Ground cinnamon
1 pk NEAR EAST Long Grain Wild 1 md Red apple, cut into 1/2"
-Rice Pilaf Mix (6 oz) -pieces, unpeeled
1. In medium saucepan, add nuts and heat oven medium heat. Cook 5-6
minutes or until nuts are light golden brown and fragrant, stirring
frequently. Remove from pan; set aside
2. In same saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat. Add onion; cook
3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add rice pilaf mix; cook 30 seconds,
stirring occasionally.
3. Add juice, water, contents of Spice Sack and cinnamon; bring to a
boil.
4. Cover, reduce heat to low. Simmer 30 minutes or until most of
liquid is absorbed.
5. Stir in apple and walnuts just before serving.
