Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
6 ea Pickles, large sour
2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Cloves, whole
1 ea Cinnamon stick
Slice pickles in 1/4 inch slices and cover with the sugar and spices.
Keep in an earthen bowl for 24 hours, stirring frequently. Fill
sterilized jars and seal. Keep in a cool place. Source: Pennsylvania
