Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

---------------------CONEY ISLAND CHILI--------------------------
3 tb Oil 1 tb Chili powder
1 1/2 lb Ground beef 1 tb Cumin powder
2 cn (12 oz) Heinz Brown Gravy 1/4 c Bottled Italian dressing
1 pk (envelope) Onion soup mix 12 oz V-8 Juice
2 cn (15 oz) red kidney beans 4 ts Sugar (or 3 pks of Equal)

-------------------------DIRECTIONS------------------------------

In 2-qt saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons oil on med-high brown ground
round in this, crumbling with fork till pink color disappears and
beef is mashed to size of rice. Stir in Heinz brown gravy, onion soup
mix, red kidney beans, chili powder, cumin powder, italian dressing
v-8 juice, sugar. Stir well and often - low heat till piping hot.
Serves 4.
