Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1/4 c Butter Or Regular -Pepper
-Margarine 2 c Milk
5 oz Dried Beef, Shredded (2 1/2 4 oz Fresh Mushrooms, Chopped
-Oz Jars Or Packages) -(About 1 cup)
2 tb Unbleached Flour 6 ea Slices Of Bread
1/8 ts Freshly Ground Black

In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter add the dried
beef and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp.
Add the flour and pepper, stir until well blended. Gradually add the
milk; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low;
cook until mixture is slightly thickened. Stir in the mushrooms and
cook 3 to 5 minutes or until the mixture is heated through.
Meanwhile, toast the bread and cut into triangles. Serve with the
chipped beef or serve the chipped beef over the triangles.
