1 c Plain yogurt 1/4 ts Ground cumin seeds
3 tb Lemon juice 1/2 ts Ground ginger
1 lg Garlic clove(s), minced 1/4 ts Ground allspice
2 Scallions, thinly sliced 1/4 ts Ground turmeric
1/2 c Cilantro 1 ts Crushed red pepper flakes
-coarsely chopped 1 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Ground coriander seeds 1/2 ts Pepper
Combine all the ingredients in a nonreactive dish or in a zip-top
plastic bag. Turn the chicken breasts during marinating to distribute
the flavors evenly. For best results, marinate for 4-6 hours in the
refrigerator.
Makes enough for 2 whole chicken breasts.
