1 21oz. can cherry pie filling1/4 cup slivered almonds1 cup all-purpose flour1 cup sugar3/4 cup sour cream3/4 cup butter, melted2 tsp. baking powder1/4 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. almond extract (optional)Whipped Cream, if desired
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, stir together pie filling and almonds, set aside. Spray a 12x8 inch baking pan or 9 inch square pan with no-stick cooking spray. Stir all remaining ingredients together until well-mixed. Spread evenly over bottom of pan. Spoon pie filling mixture on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve with whipped cream.Apple, apricot, blueberry, or peach pie filling may also be used in place of the cherry pie filling for a different variety! Preparation Time: 10 minutes Serves: 6 servings
