1/2 c Lard 4 c Diced apples
1 ts Baking powder Cinnamon and nutmeg
1/4 ts Salt 2 c Sugar
2/3 c Milk 3/4 c Water
Flour
Mix together lard, baking powder, salt and milk. Add enough flour to
mixture to make a soft dough. Roll dough out in oblong shape.
Sprinkle apples over dough. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over apples
as desired. Roll dough and apples up as for a jellyroll. Cut into 1
1/2 inch slices and place in a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Mix sugar
and water together to make syrup and pour over slices. Bake at 375
degrees for 45 minutes.
