1 lb Sirloin steak -- sliced thin Strips
--------------------------MARINADE-------------------------------
1/4 c Green onion -- sliced Regular
2 Cloves garlic -- minced 2 tb Vegetable oil
2 tb Soy sauce, low sodium -- or 1 tb Water
--------------------------DRESSING-------------------------------
2 tb Cider vinegar 1/4 ts Ground ginger
2 tb Soy sauce, low sodium -- or 8 c Lettuce -- or 10 cup torn
Regular 1/4 c Hazelnuts -- coarsely
2 tb Vegetable oil Chopped
1 Clove garlic -- minced Toasted almonds
1 ts Sugar 1 c Sweet red peppers -- or
1/4 ts Curry powder Green chopped
Place beef in a glass mixing bowl. Combine marinade ingredients; pour
over beef. Allow to stand at room temperature 30 min. Meanwhile,
combine dressing ingredients; set aside. Place greens in a large
salad bowl; refrigerate. In a skillet over high heat, half the beef
and marinade. Remove and then brown remaining beef. Drain and add all
beef to greens. In the same skillet, heat dressing. Pour over salad
and quickly toss. top with hazelnuts, onions and peppers. Serve
immediately. Yield: 4 servings.
