Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 lb pitted dates --,Chopped
1 1/2 c sweet red passover wine
1 t cinnamon,Ground
1/2 t cloves,Ground
1 c walnuts -- coarsely,Chopped

Put the dates in a pan with the wine and seasonings and simmer until
the mixture resembles a soft paste, about 30 to 40 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Cool. Add the walnuts and serve.
