1 tb Olive oil 1 pn Salt
1 1/2 tb Garlic -- pureed 1 pn Black pepper
1 tb Fresh sage -- chopped 9 oz Stale coarse bread -- cut in
4 c Chicken stock -1/2" cubes
1 1/2 lb Red ripe tomatoes
Heat olive oil in saucepan. Add garlic and sage, saute lightly. Add
chicken stock and tomatoes. (If using fresh tomatoes, be sure to
peel, seed, and dice before adding.) Bring to a boil, lower heat. Add
salt, pepper, and bread. Simmer until thick. Serve hot or chilled.
