Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:


------------------------INGREDIENTS-----------------------------
3-4 cups of broccoli 1/3 c Pine nuts or walnuts (or
-flowerets and carrots -any combination)
-sliced at an angle 4 ea Cloves garlic
12 oz Pasta (rotini-red, green 1/3 c Extra virgin olive oil
-and white) 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, freshly
Approx 2/3 cup fresh basil -grated
-leaves

-------------------------DIRECTIONS------------------------------

Add carrots and pasta to boiling water. Add broccoli after 5 minutes.
While pasta/vegetables are cooking, add basil, nuts and garlic to
food processor and pulse until finely chopped. With the machine
running, pour in the olive oil in a thin stream. Add the cheese, salt
and pepper to taste and process briefly to combine. Thin with 2 Tbs
HOT water. This will make it easier to toss. Toss pesto with hot
pasta and vegetables.
