1 3/4 c All-purpose flour 2 T Milk
1/2 c Sugar 1 t Vanilla
1/2 c Firmly packed brown sugar 1 ea Egg
1 t Baking soda 48 ea Milk chocolate candy
1/2 t Salt -kisses
1/2 c Shortening Sugar, for rolling
1/2 c Peanut butter
Heat oven to 375F. Combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking
soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg in a
large bowl. Blend with an electric mixer at low speed until a stiff
dough forms. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in additional sugar.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12
minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with a
candy kiss, pressing down firmly so the cookie cracks around the
edge. Remove from the cookie sheets and cool completely. Makes 4
dozen. Per serving (cookie): 100 calories; 2 g protein, 12 g
