3/4 c Shortening
1 1/2 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs -- well beaten
3 c Flour -- sifted
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Baking powder
3 tb Milk
2 c Finely chopped peanuts
Preheat oven to 400~. Cream shortening and add brown sugar gradually.
Add well beaten eggs. Sift flour once before measuring. Mix together
flour, salt and baking powder. Add to the creamed mixture,
alternating with milk. Add peanuts. Roll out on floured board to
1/8-inch thickness. Cut and put on a greased baking sheet. Bake 10
minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
