Main Ingredients:

1 lb. dry great northern beans
4 oz. chopped center cut ham
6 oz. tomato paste
2 tbsp. salad mustard
Cold water as necessary
1 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. Brown Sugar Twin


Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

Wash beans, add cold water to cover, bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and let stand 2 to 3 hours. Drain well. Cover again with cold water to about 1/2 inch over top of beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and let simmer for about 2 1/2 hours or until the beans are soft. Mix beans and remaining ingredients. Place in shallow baking dish and bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 2 to 3 hours stirring every hour. 1/3 cup serving - calories 115. cholesterol 18 grams, protein 7 grams, fat 2 grams, NA 262 milligrams.
