1/3 c Vegetable oil 1/3 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 c Sugar 1/2 ts Baking powder
2 lg Eggs 1/4 ts Salt
2 ts Vanilla extract 1/2 c Coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 c Unsifted all-purpose flour
1. Heat oven to 350'F. Grease and flour 8-inch-square baking pan.
2. In medium-size bowl, beat oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well
combined.
3. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; stir until smooth batter
forms. Set aside 2 T nuts; fold remaining nuts into batter. Spread
batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle with reserved nuts.
4. Bake brownies 25 to 30 minutes or until center springs back when
gently pressed. Cut into 9 large or 16 small squares. Cool brownies
completely in pan on wire rack.
