1 cn Sliced peaches in heavy 2 1/2 c Sugar
-syrup 2 ea Jars maraschino cherries
2 1/2 c Sugar -with juice
1 cn Crushed pineapple with juice 2 1/2 c Sugar
Mix peaches and 2 1/2 cups sugar in a one-gallon container - a large
apothecary, for example. Cover loosely and let stand at room
temperature. Stir daily. On the 10th day, add the pineapple with
juice and 2 1/2 cups sugar. Stir daily. On the 20th day, cut the
maraschino cherries in half and with juice add to the starter. Add 2
1/2 cups sugar. Stir daily.
