1 1/2 lb Ground beef
4 tb Grated onion
1 Egg
2 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
3 tb Cornstarch
2 tb Fat
1 1/2 c Beef stock
2 tb Lemon juice
1 Lemon -- thinly sliced
1/4 c Seedless raisins
3 tb Sugar
6 Gingersnaps -- crushed
Mix the meat, onion, egg, 1 teaspoon salt and the pepper. Form
mixture into 1-inch balls; lightly roll them in the cornstarch. Melt
the fat in a deep skillet. Brown the meat balls in it. Add the
stock, lemon juice, lemon, raisins and sugar. Cover and cook over low
