Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 1/2 lb Ground chuck 1/4 c Thousand island dressing
1 1/2 ea To 2 cup rye bread crumbs 1/2 t Fresh ground pepper
1 ea Lightly beaten egg 3/4 c Sauerkraut very well drained
1 T Worcestershire sauce 1 c Shredded swiss cheese plus
1/2 c Chopped onion -some for garnish
2 T Sweet pickle relish

Combine beef, bread crumbs, egg, worcestershire, onion, pickle relish,
salad dressing and pepper. Place on a sheet of wax paper and shape
into a flat 6 x 14 inch rectangle. Leaving a 1/2 inch border on all
sides, sprinkle meat with sauerkraut and swiss cheese. Staring at a
short end, roll up, jelly roll fashion - using the paper to help
guide the mixture. Place roll in a shallow roasting pan and bake,
uncovered, for 45 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Top with
additional swiss cheese before serving.
