See below ingredients and instructions of the recipe
1 c Quick cooking rolled oats 1 3/4 c All purpose flour
1/2 c Chopped dates or raisins 2/3 c Splenda granular sweetner
1 1/4 c Skim milk 2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Grated orange rind 1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 c Fresh orange juice 1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 c Vegetable oil 1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg
Combine oats,dates and milk;let stand 5 minutes.Stir in orange rind
and juice,oil and egg. Mix remaining ingredients in large bowl.Stir
in oat mixture, mixing just until dry ingredients are moistened.Spoon
into greased or paper lined large muffin tins.Bake at 400 degrees for
18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.Let
stand in pan 5 minutes,then remove to rack to cool.Store in air tight
container.
Note: Sugar acts as a preservative in many foods.When replacing sugar
in baked goods with splenda granular,you will get longer storage time
if you store these foods in the refrigerator.Or for longer
storage,baked goods prepared with splenda freeze very successfully.
