1/4 c Brown sugar -- firmly
Packed
3/4 ts Chile powder
1/4 tb Pepper
1/4 tb Salt
1/4 tb Garlic granules
1/2 ts Onion granules
1/4 ts Allspice
1/4 ts Cayenne
1/8 ts Cloves
1/8 ts Mace
1/8 ts Bay leaf
1/4 c Molasses
1/4 c Clover honey
1/3 c White vinegar
2 tb Worcestershire sauce
1/2 ts Liquid smoke
1 ts Jalapeno pepper juice
1/2 c Ketchup
4 oz Tomato paste
1/2 c Water
Put the dry ingredients in a large saucepan. Add all of the liquid
ingredients, except ketchup, tomato paste and water. Over medium
heat, stir all ingredients until they disolve. Blend in ketchup,
tomato paste, and water, then bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat
and simmer for thirty minutes. Use this sauce at room temperature.
Yield: about 3 1/2 cups
